Rose 1HISTORY:  A chapel was first built  in Rose almost overnight in April 1839 the society having previously met in a barn at Mount farm and a building, now a house, in lower Rose.  A gallery and porch were added in 1865 due to  increased attendance.  Rose was part of the Truro and Newlyn East circuits in late 1800s (in Newlyn it had  the second largest membership with 130).  The Sunday school (Wesley Hall) was built in 1907 .

In 1983 when attendance was low it was decided to close, but after a lot of consultation with villagers the decision was taken to refurbish Wesley Hall as the place of worship with a smaller school room, and sell the chapel.   The new chapel was finally opened on August 1st 1987.   Unfortunately there is no longer a Sunday School.
